Spotify diversifies

Over six months after announcing they would be diversifying their content beyond music to include more video and podcast services, Spotify has finally revealed some of the programs it will stream. There are many more options coming to the platform, according to Billboard, not all of which have been named yet. This is likely a move to make Spotify more competitive with other streaming services like Apple Music or Tidal, which have musical artists who have pulled their music from Spotify after disputes over royalties. This new strategy will be free to users at first and is expected to be released later this week.
