As if a tour with Migos, multiple NYC shows, and bringing out Cardi B to perform in Madison Square Garden wasn’t enough -- Drake decided to team up with Virgil Abloh for an open day party for the fans on Sunday, August 26th. Exquisite outdoor venue Brooklyn Mirage was booming with thousands of attendees, good energy, and even better tunes from DJ Spade and other local DJs. The event ran from 4PM to 1AM, and the crowd was prepared to wait as long as necessary to see if Drake would actually show up. The people got their answer at 10PM, when he popped up on stage with the typical happy-go-lucky attitude he always has. The best part was the fact the 6 God decided he couldn’t just sit there and drink while his songs played, soon taking a microphone and rapping along to his tracks like “Look Alive,” “Mob Ties,” “SICKO MODE,” and a few others.

Prior to Aubrey taking the stage, though, Virgil Abloh DJ’d a hype set as the evening rolled in and the light show took over. The recently named artistic director for Louis Vuitton menswear was excited to see so many people come out, and that he and Drake could pull this event off successfully. Abloh has had an amazing year, and his starpower combined with Drake’s own had Brooklyn Mirage packed well beyond the level of comfort. Popular New York rapper Casanova was also present, along with the New York Knicks’ Tim Hardaway Jr., NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors, and Drake’s buddies Preme and Chubbs. Of course, he couldn’t host an event in NYC without viral sensation Shiggy coming through to do his popular dance to “In My Feelings.” Fans were treated to a party, show, and an opportunity to buy merchandise -- all on a Sunday. Admittedly, it was a bit surprising Migos and Cardi didn’t come out, but that might have been a bit too much for everyone to handle.

The “Aubrey & The Three Migos” New York shows will finish up this weekend at Barclay’s Center after shutting down Madison Square Garden this past weekend. With a few days in between, Lord knows what else they have in store for New York City. Will Migos throw a party of their own? Who else will they team up with while in the Big Apple? Stay tuned, and if you’re in the city, absolutely go check out the show.
