While some are using #spookyszn to come up with creative costumes, eat copious amounts of candy and wash it down with vodka, Troof Beats has unleashed the second single “Revenge” from his upcoming project No Rules. Troof, 23, brings a dark, aggressive edge to this track which makes its release at the end of Halloween very timely.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey and a member of the U.S. Army, the Haitian rapper has always had a love for Hip-Hop. From writing and recording raps on his old desktop and turning school projects into songs, all the way to live shows and working with top producers in Los Angeles and North Carolina, Troof’s journey has been a slow roast that he has been patient through. The blessing of a son at such a young age has also inspired him to keep pushing.

Over the course of his time as an artist, Troof has come in contact with people who haven’t had his best interest at heart. He’s dealt with the struggles of the industry but stands strong and perseveres. “Revenge” is a warning shot to all of those who doubted him, and a release of understandable frustration that has been building within him.

“It’s my move and I’m thinking revenge, we was cool now we’re no longer friends.” It’s straightforward and honest. He attacks the beat throughout the entire song in a loud manner similar to that of Meek Mill. There’s a lot of energy and passion here, and it’s likely to be a crowd favorite when performed live.

His first single “Ballin” was more of an upbeat, club type track, so this approach is refreshing but speaks to his ability to get the crowd excited while laying out his feelings in a very in-your-face kind of way.
