Tory Lanez keeps his foot on the neck of 2018 with a cohesively hard-hitting, feature packed project

Just over seven months after dropping his sophomore studio album, MEMORIES DON’T DIE, Tory Lanez keeps his foot on the neck of 2018 with a cohesively hard-hitting, feature packed project, LoVE me NOw. With a range of features from the likes of recently-buzzing Atlanta-based Gunna and Lil Baby, to seasoned veterans of the game such as Chris Brown, 2 Chainz and Meek Mill, Tory employs a tracklist that was purposely curated to embellish sounds from the entire spectrum of the hip hop landscape. Tory’s vision for the project’s features was noted: “My whole thing was trying to dive into everybody’s different lanes, to be diverse with the features and make sure they weren’t all, like, Atlanta based,” he told Zane Lowe on a segment of Beats 1 Radio. Tory went on to say, “I wanted to make sure everybody was from everywhere; that it was an all-around collaborative effort.”

With notable (and personally favorite) tracks including “Why DON’T You LOVE me?”, “IF iT Ain’T rIGHt (feat. A Boogie wit da Hoodie)”, and “MiAMi (feat. Gunna),” Tory incorporates bigger melodies, more auto-tune, and heavy 808 and kick-driven production throughout the entire project to provide for a car-rattling and infectious sing-along listening experience.

Tory does not slow down once during the project, imploring a fast-life, lavish essence from the listener as he raps “You know gangstas don't die, they get chubby and they move to Miami.”
